  • New technologies and innovative solutions are used in the company’s daily operations to:
    • ensure the uninterrupted supply of water and the operation of the entire water & sewage infrastructure;
    • improve the efficiency of the service personnel;
    • optimise the energy efficiency of the water & sewage infrastructure.
  • Pilot implementation of satellite detection of leakages:
    • PWiK in Tarnowskie Góry was the first water supply and sewage company in Poland to implement in 2023 a pilot programme of satellite detection of leakages on a broad scale.
    • The technology is based on satellite data on water supply network operation. The algorithm detects moisture from different sources to precisely locate leakages. The algorithm also utilises data from the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS), which includes the exact layout of the water supply network. This allows for pinpointing leaks, which are subsequently verified by the field team.
  • Telemetry system
    • The state-of-the-art telemetry system is a crucial element of the intelligent municipal water & sewage network. By replacing conventional water meters with advanced remote readers, we can transmit accurate data to precisely determine water consumption or identify potential leakages in the network, thus significantly reducing water losses.
    • The new technology enables efficient and accurate planning and reporting and makes it possible to predict fluctuations in operating municipal infrastructure. This capability supports prompt, informed decision-making and the ongoing, real-time assessment of results.
